We begin with a personalized assessment involving the client, their family, or both. This can be done over the phone, via Zoom, or, if you prefer, in the comfort of the client’s home. During this conversation, we’ll answer your questions, review care options and costs, and help determine whether Elderlink is the right fit for your needs.
If we move forward, we take the time to learn as much as possible about the client, including their physical and cognitive needs, home environment, schedule, and the personal qualities that matter most in a caregiver.
Based on this information, we refer experienced, independent caregivers who are well matched to your needs and availability.
There are no upfront fees or long-term commitments required to begin services. We understand that care needs can change, and we are committed to providing a flexible, supportive experience every step of the way.
What You Can Expect Once Care Has Started
Elderlink operates as a registry of self-employed, independent caregivers. This allows us to connect you with qualified, vetted, and insured caregivers at highly competitive rates. Clients and their families benefit from greater flexibility, choice, and control than with traditional agencies.
We are committed to referring caregivers who meet your expectations and are competent, reliable, and well-suited to provide the requested services. Your satisfaction and safety are always our top priorities. If, for any reason, a caregiver is not the right fit, we will work with you to make a prompt change.
As part of this model, clients and families play an active role in directing care. While Elderlink is always available for guidance and support, responsibilities such as orienting new caregivers and communicating daily preferences are handled by you or your family.
If a caregiver has an emergency, becomes ill, or has planned time off, Elderlink will make every effort to refer a qualified replacement. We will communicate with you, your family, or the responsible party and keep you informed of any changes.
This partnership approach helps ensure more personalized care at a better value. Many of the caregivers we refer have chosen caregiving as their profession, not just a job.
