It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of previous Elderlink Home Care, Inc. owner, Ruth Pelanne. Ruth owned Elderlink from 1996–2001 before she sold the company to current owner, Karen Moorehead. Ruth, a registered nurse, bought Elderlink after retiring from full-time nursing. She ran Elderlink for over five years with love and a desire to make a difference. Under Ruth’s care, Elderlink grew and thrived. It was a true passion for her. With Ruth’s passing, the world has lost a very special person—a person who always saw the best in others and traveled through her days with grace, gentleness, and kindness. She will be remembered and thought of often by those of us who were lucky enough to know her. We will be forever grateful for the impact Ruth had on us, on Elderlink, and on the world. Rest in peace, Ruth; you will be missed.

Elderlink is very happy to congratulate our Caregiver of the Month for January, Xiao T.! Xiao has been with Elderlink for about 3 years now, but has been caregiving for 19! Her clients tell us that she is a wonderful caregiver. She enjoys caregiving because she really likes building relationships with her clients and having meaningful conversations with them. When she is not working she enjoys travelling and hiking. Xiao hikes every single week with her family and is very focused on her family health. Xiao and her family enjoy living in Colorado because of the outdoor activities like skiing! Congratulations Xiao!

Elderlink Home Care, Inc. would like to congratulate Fatuma A., our Caregiver of the Month for January 2023! Fatuma has been with Elderlink for about 2 years and has been a caregiver for about 5. She is clearly a natural! We always get great feedback about her and she is a wonderful part of the Elderlink caregiving team. Fatuma was very excited to be chosen and said it feels very good to be seen. Fatuma has lived many places but has been here in Colorado since 2006 and she says it feels like home. She loves to cook when she is not caregiving. She said she works as a caregiver because she wants to give back. She looks at her clients as her family and wants to help whoever is in need and hopes the same will happen for her if she ever finds herself in need. Fatuma loves what she does! Congratulations Fatuma, we are so happy to have you on our team!
